Wainwright Lumber has served Wainwright and the surrounding area for over 40 years. We are a family-owned and operated business, spanning 3 generations.
In 1982, Jim and Shirley Keller took 1.3 acres of land, a small retail building, one forklift and one delivery truck and built a business selling house packages, decks, fences, shops, farm buildings, fence posts, and rough lumber. Their business would be based on hard work and great customer service.
Wainwright Lumber operated out of this location for 25 years and in 2007 we were able to expand the business. The expansion was built at a new location, three times the original size, including a 12,000 sqft retail building and two cold storage buildings to offer more products and hardware to serve our customers better.
Although Jim and Shirley's children have always been part of the business, helping when needed, Kim officially came to work as the bookkeeper in 1988. Kurtis followed in 1998, and Dave in 2004. In 2009, Kurtis, Dave, and Kim officially bought the business, becoming the second generation of owners and continuing with the quality of customer service they were taught growing up.
Wainwright Lumber is proud to employ a very hard-working and knowledgeable staff that has been with the company for many years, including 3rd generation family.
We appreciate all of our customers, the great people, and organizations that our community has to offer and enjoy taking every opportunity to give back by donating to several different clubs, teams, and charities in the surrounding area, including:
